1991 Club Car Electric Golf Cart

Is there a way I'm supposed to change the rear end grease or differential oil?

REPLY

This is what my Club Car Manual Issue Date September 1991 says:

Section IX- Drive Unit
Lubrication

"There are two plugs located on the lower half of the drive unit housing. The upper one, when drive unit is in horizontal position, is used as a level indicator.

The lube level should be even with the bottom of the hole. The lower plug is for draining the lube. When draining the lube, the level plug should be removed to drain faster. Be sure the drain plug is reinstalled before filling.

Torque plugs to 18-25ft.-lbs.

Using funnel, fill drive unit with lube through level indicator hole. Fill with 22 oz SAE 30 API Class SE, SF or SD oil.

The lubricant level in the drive unit should be checked every six months or after each season."

Hope this helps.
