Cadillac Escalade Electric Cart by ACG

Sold at a very high cost ($19,000 with sunbrella enclosure) and supposed to be street legal LSV.

We have poured hundreds of dollars into this, it's very poorly engineered for street use. Some of the engineering faults included body off kilter, breaking front welds and wheels rubbing on body when turning (fixed by dealer, in shop 6 weeks) Paint scratches easily, the zippers on the enclosure scratch it.

We were as wet inside as we would have been outside when it rained, we paid a local guy to put sheet metal over all the holes in the chassis. The controller started a fire (9 months old) in the battery area, luckily we were at home and put it out quickly, another Cadillac cart here had the controller burn and the entire cart burned up.

The local dealer refused repairs, AGC sent us a replacement controller since we were still under the warranty period. We sent the labor and towing bills and they thanked us by sending us a bill for the controller for $575.00 (remember, still under the 1 year warranty period). We've had front welds break (repaired by dealer) twice.

And each repair meant weeks in the shop. Now the cart is 14 months old, probably driven 10 months and the rear end is leaking, I have to get the front and back springs replaced to improve the ride and keep the front end from bouncing at $300.

The steering wheel is rusting and very hard to turn, the rubber gasket on the windshield is badly cracked and the cheap vinyl seats are tearing.

I tell everyone that this thing was STUPID money, that I continue to poor money into. I can't in good conscience sell my problem to someone else.

This is been on a tow truck more than on the golf course. For your money, this is a terrible piece.

Update on this Caddy Cart
by: amcbeancounter

Now 15 months after delivery, batteries need replacing. Also last month replaced front springs and shocks.

Mfg asked us to mail back the burnt out controller, said they would reimburse all out of pocket expenses when received. That was in November, still no payment.
