Replace Golf Cart Solenoid

by Tommy
(Fayetteville)

Hi,

I have been told that I need to replace the solenoids in my golf cart. Is this a "do it yourself" type of repair or does it call for a golf cart shop mechanic? Money is tight so I would like to do it myself if possible.

Thank you.

Hi Tommy,

It is very possible to replace the solenoids yourself. Normally not all of them need to replaced. Have you tested and identified which solenoids have gone bad? Resistance will always be the highest on your first solenoid - so that one often goes first.

Do you have a golf cart manual? Many of them can be downloaded for free depending on the make of your cart. Click here to find the free links:

Good Luck.
