Used Gas Club Car - Title Needed?

I am about to buy a used 2006 Gas Club car. They say they have no paper work to go with it.

Do these have a title because I want to license it for a retirement community or don't I need one?

Hi Todd,

You can check with your Department of Motor Vehicles in the state you live in. We do not have a title to our golf cart.

I found this statement from the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles from their website:

"TxDMV does not register or title golf carts.

Registration is not needed to operate your golf cart on a public road."

So my thought is to call your DMV office and see what they say. I don't believe golf carts are titled in the state of Georgia. We never received one and my friend who just purchased a new golf cart never got one as well.

If the golf cart is considered street legal or a neighborhood electric vehicle that would be a different story.

Let us know what they say.
